For our first project at Ironhack, we were tasked with creating a simple browser game. The goal was create a small game using HTML with <canvas> elements, CSS styling and Javascript for the logic.

I decided I wanted to create something that was visually inspired by old-skool top down games like The Legend Of Zelda and Pacman series. I also wanted to create something relatable to me and my classmates, so I decided on a hungry programmer as my main protagonist. All that was left was figuring out the actual game itself. I ended up implementing a few key elements:

A set number of items to be collected by the player, spawning in random spots on the map
Randomly placed obstacles of different sizes and colours
A time limit within which the player must collect all the items

As a bonus, I created all the sprites and animations in Photoshop, and implemented background music, as well as sound effects.
